Cool Cat!

Andrew and I are loving the warm weather. We were getting in a funk being stuck in the house all winter. Andrew loves his cool new shades and actually cries when I take them off! Now I won't have to pull the stroller backward anymore to keep the sun out of his eyes!

Pure Joy

Andrew and I had such a great day today. It made me realize how happy I am with my life, and how blessed I am to have him in it. I have never loved anyone or anything the way that I love him, and today I took the time to stop and appreciate everything he does to make me feel so proud to be his mom.
He loves to touch my face now, and explore everything about it with his little tiny hands. When I give him his bottle, he rubs my cheek and looks at me like he is in love!!
When I pretend like I am "getting him" and kiss under his neck, he giggles so loud, and it is the sweetest sound I have ever heard!
I took him on a long walk and he got tired of sitting in his stroller (I am assuming this because he started yelling). I carried him the rest of the way home while pushing his stroller.He fell asleep in my arms, his little puppy dog hat fell down over his eyes, and he was limp in my arms. I wanted to just held him like that forever.
When I read him his bedtime story tonight, he kept looking up at me like he wanted to make sure I was still there.
I think only a parent can understand how special these little moments are, and how they make you fall more and more in love with this little person.

Andrew's House

This is for all of our friends and family who haven't had a chance to come to our house in Chattanooga. Everyone is invited to come stay with us anytime you want...it will be like a mini vacation! We will even let you babysit!!!

3 month pictures...He is 5 months now!

These are Andrew's 3 month pictures that we had done professionally. I don't have a scanner....so I had to take a picture of the pictures. They look a lot better in person, a lot of the quality was lost since it is a picture of a picture! He is beautiful no matter what though. We now have a shrine in our house devoted to our son. Every other picture has been put away to make room for Andrew!!! I can't believe we will be going for 6 month pictures in about 3 weeks!

Andrew Meets Amelia!

Our friends Paul and Caroline brought over their little girl Amelia to meet Andrew! She is adorable, so we thought for sure Andrew would appreciate the fix up. As you can see, they were both thrilled about this! Amelia seemd to notice Andrew for a second, but he was having nothing to do with our little set up. Chad and I had a good time though!

Andrew and I decided to take a trip to the mall. Because it was 65 degrees the day before....I assumed it would be today also. I put him in this cute little outfit that he has never worn before because his fat little thighs only have about another week that they can fit in it. Well, it was only 45 degrees outside, and Andrew looked very odd dressed so out of season!! I did take a sweater and socks just in case.....we did need them. He didn't like the outfit anyways as you can see in the picture!

Bed Head

Andrew and I took a nap together in my bed, and he woke up looking oh so cute! Of course I took this as a photo opportunity since I am a picture junkie. I just love his mouth in the first picture! These are his cousin Merrick's jammies by the way!

Raspberries!!

Andrew's new favorite thing now is to blow bubbles while he is talking (Ah Goo). We do raspberries on his feet, tummy, cheeks, whatever part of his cute little body we feel like kissing! When we do it he immitates us and does it back...I'm sure he won't do it in front of other people ,because he likes to make us look like liars most of the time!! You have to see it though to appreciate the cuteness!

Strollin Along

Andrew and I went for a walk because it was 65 degrees in Chattanooga today! Finally, we can get out of the house and enjoy the outdoors- Mommy is getting a little stir crazy. Andrew enjoyed himself but didn't like the sun in his eyes. Since he is spoiled, I pulled him backwards to avoid the sun! By the end of the walk he had his feet propped up on the tray and was enjoying the view....as I was struggling back up our hill!!

Exersaucer!

Andrew started out pretty tame in this new toy we bought him, but by the end he was a wild man. He kept getting excited and jumping around, then trying to cram everything into his mouth!! Advice.....You can never have too many things to give your arms a break from holding a baby.

Monkeying Around!

Andrew and I are having a fun time at home today! This is his favorite toy, his daddy brought this to him in the hospital when he was born. It has been pooped and peed on more times than I can count because we leave it on the changing table for some reason. It has been in a pillowcase in the washer a lot of it's life! This outfit was Andrew's big cousin Merrick's when he was a baby!! I just checked to see if it would fit even though it is 6-9 months and it did. He smells like moth balls in it though since his Uncle Charlie threw the opened box of moth balls all over Merrick's clothes before they went into storage- Good One. We still wear hand-me-downs....smelly or not!! Andrew is 5 moths today and weighed in at 15-11 on Monday at the doctor (We went because this little turkey has refused to take his bottle in 5 days). The doctor seems to think it is an attitude problem!!

Sitting Up Is Hard Work!

First of all, it just amazes me that the tiny little baby who used to lay on this same boppy pillow to nurse is now using it to try and learn to sit up! I can't believe how fast these 5 months have flown by, but I have loved every minute of it. Andrew wants to sit up so badly but still needs lots of support. He loves sitting there like a big boy and looking around at everything with a different view! I think he looks just like a little Willis in that last picture! By the way...his shirt says Chick Magnet!!

My Favorite Birthday Present!

Chad and Andrew took me to Carraba's for my birthday. They planned it all by themselves and never had to ask me where I wanted to go! Andrew was "pretty good"... as long as I held him all during dinner. Well, I call it dinner, but we have to eat at 4pm like all the old folks since Andrew goes to bed at 7pm!

Will You Be My Valentine??

This shirt is so appropriate for Andrew...he has turned into quite the little flirt! He will smile-grin at us, then bury his face in embarrassment. My favorite thing he does is when I go in his room to get up up from nap- he looks at me, smiles, then rolls his face all around in the bed (yes, he is on his tummy-Bad Mommy)! He is so much fun now, and those smiles make all the hard times seem like nothing!

Dirty Laundry!

This looks mean, but he was very comfortable!! I needed a place to sit him down while I put the clothes in the dryer, and he hates being sat down. I figured something knew would surprise him, and he might not fuss....which he didn't!

Airplane Ride Anyone?

I know Andrew lves his airplane rides- they always guarantee a smile and lots of drool, but please don't do them right after he eats. I find myself telling Chad this every day....maybe now he has learned his lesson!!!

Acting Silly!

It took Chad and I both making silly faces and goofing off to get these pictures of Andrew smiling. He is so cute when he does that little grin...I wish I couls see it more often.

Playbaby Centerfold!!

This is by far my favorite picture of Andrew. It is so him. He had to be moved into the big bathtub because he was kicking so hard that water was going everywhere when I had him on the counter in the baby bathtub. He is happy because he is naked, and his new gavorite was to relax is to put his hands behind his head...and sometimes pull on his newly found ears!! He loves his bath- until it is time for hair and face wash- we save this for the end because he hates it!
