Memorial Day Party

We had our 2nd annual Memorial Day Bar B Q this weekend! All of our friends-neighbors were able to be there, and we had a great time! It was a little crazy and loud with all of our kids running around, but that's our life these days! I didn't get many pictures because I was too busy wrangling the kids, and for some reason there isn't one picture of the 7 men there! Maybe because they were on the deck drinking beer the whole time!?

Big Boy Bed!

My smart little boy has figured out how to climb out of his crib :( Chad and I had to put him into a bed (we converted his crib into a daybed) on May 18. I have to admit, it was bittersweet. I'm so sad to see my little man grow up and not be a baby anymore, but I'm also glad he's healthy and growing like he's supposed to be. He's doing great and sleeping better than he ever has. Sounds weird, but I think he just wanted those bars off. He doesn't get out of the bed until I come get him, probably because I threaten him when I lay him down each time! He loves playing in his bed and doesn't want to get out, even when I come to get him. Chad and I plan on redecorating his room for his birthday and getting a real bed at that time. Cross your fingers he doesn't want out of that bed either!

Andrew's Got it Bad!

Andrew is so crazy about his neighbor- girlfriend, Kate! He asks for her all day long, and I have to tell him she's taking a nap so he'll leave me alone. When we walk by her house, he starts calling out her name and saying Shhhh because he thinks she's always sleeping now! Yesterday they played together and had such a good time entertaining one another

Andrew and his girl, Kate, have been spending a lot of time together lately. We are there a few days a week, and their little relationship is still going string!! They play so well together, and really entertain each other (so I get a break)!!

Grandma Bonnie

Chad's mom came in town this week, and was a huge help for me! She and Andrew bonded pretty much immediately, and he acted like he had always known her...even though he hasn't seen her in over a year. It was a very relaxing, exciting, and busy weekend and we're so sad that she had to leave today. She even watched Andrew so Chad and I could have a date night at P F Chang's!  Andrew let her do everything for him, so now he's expecting it from me too...it's going to be a long week retraining him so say a prayer for me!

Ruby Falls

Chad, Andrew, Bonnie and I went to Ruby Falls here in Chattanooga. I have been there many time since I was a kid, but neither of them had ever been there. I don't think they were overly impressed, but I still think it's so much fun! I had to carry Andrew though the whole thing because he wanted his Mommy, but he did very well. He talked the whole time, mostly jibberish, but every once in a while you would hear him say water (totter), fish (tish) and rocks (gocks). He seemed to enjoy it, but was ready to go by the end. The waterfall at the end scared him so he saw saying Bye and waving from then until we left. Oh yeah, my flip flop broke right before we went in, so I walked thought a dirty wet cave barefoot for an hour, with a kid on my hip...Nice!

Little Gym

Andrew and I got to Little Gym every Friday, so this week, Chad and Grandma Bonnie got to go with us. They were both excited to see what it is that he does at Gym class, but Andrew wanted Chad to do more than just watch. He ran up to him and yelled Daddy, grabbed his hands and wanted him to come participate!! Andrew is becoming a lot more confidant there and his favorite thing is the bar. He loves to hang on it and do flips, with help of course!

Fast Food!

We went to eat dinner at Famous Dave's, and Andrew was miserable the whole time...which made everyone else miserable! He wanted nothing to do with the place and kept saying "Bye Bye" and waving while crying. We ate as fast as we could and got the heck out of there. Andrew was fine as soon as we left, especially because Grandma Bonnie bought him a new Elmo chair!!
