I'm Warning You....

This is a long and boring post with tons of pictures (none of which are of my adorable little boy) from our New York trip. If you are strictly visiting this site to see Andrew then skip this entry! Chad and I just got back from our vacation (our first one in 3 years) and had a great time together. This was my 3rd and his 1st time to got to New York, so it was really fun to watch him see things for the first time. We went non-stop from 8am until 8pm and saw pretty much every major tourist attraction that there is to see. I'm just going to list everything for you and if you have any questions or comments then you can email me. I got a new (small) camera before we went so I wouldn't have to carry around my big nice camera and I was pretty disappointed. I'm usually crazy about taking lots of pictures, but the quality of these were so bad that I just gave up after the first day. Maybe I'm a camera snob now, but I can tell a huge difference.

Guggenheim (boring), Museum of Natural History (awesome), Museum of Modern Art,Avenue Q (a Broadway play..hilarious!) Rockefeller Plaza, Time Square, ESPN store/restaurant, Bodies Exhibit (awesome), Statue of Liberty, Empire State Building (romantic), Good Morning America (we had tickets and were in the audience, even got a little air time!), David Letterman (in audience and were on TV!), Ground Zero.
We also had several famous people sightings (my favorite part of the trip) which included, Reese Witherspoon (she came in Starbucks while we were sitting there having coffee), Nicole Kidman, Simon Baker and Kanye West (on Letterman), Matt Lauer, Kathy Lee Gifford, Diane Sawyer, Robin Roberts, Emeril, and Tom Jones (old guy your mom probably knows) on GMA.
Chad became the master of the subway and I was so proud of him. I would have been lost without him there and he made me feel safe among all the sketchy subway people and rats (there were lots of them). Something random, I actually ran into someone I know standing in line next to me at the MoMA. She was a co-worker/friend in Nashville and we were both shocked to turn around and see each other. Isn't it funny how those things happen?
We had yummy dinners but mainly just relaxed after we got back to the apartment at around 8pm. It was nice to just sit around and do nothing (which is what I would have been doing if I was at the beach) and enjoy not having any obligations or responsibilities. I did miss my little boy but not terribly until the day before we left. I honestly think if it were anyone other than my sister watching him, I would have been a wreck, but I knew she would take better care of him than I do. Seriously, she is a better driver, feeds him better and makes sure his teeth get brushed. He didn't really ask for me much and was "wonderful" for her. She said he never whined, cried or threw a fit (funny how he's been AWFUL for me today). He has been asking for her and Merrick and McKenzie ever since they left, so I really think he's mad that I'm home so soon! They went to the movies and Pump it up, so he had a blast and was given lots of attention and lovin'! Thanks so so so much you guys for making my trip possible and without worry and for taking such great care of Andrew. And most of all, for loving him so much and making him so happy!

Glad you guys had such a great trip! I know you loved the famous people! Too bad Reese didn't have Jake G. with her--he is so hot! Can't wait to hear more about it all.
