Twas the Night Before.......

My mom was here to celebrate Christmas with us, so we took advantage of the free babysitting and had a date night!

Snip Snip

My baby boy went for his first haircut last night! He goes there with me every month to get Andrew's haircut so he's familiar with the place and people. With that being said, I was still nervous that he was going to scream. Andrew HATED his hair being cut for the first hmmm, 20 times he went. It was always a nightmare and something I dreaded every time. Anyways, we all went so Cart could see Andrew and Chad get their hair cut first and Carter just shocked us all and sat there like a big boy. He never made a peep and actually seemed to enjoy it! Bye bye mullet.... hello big boy.

Cookie Decorating

I took the boys to Michaels and we bought lots of arts and crafts to keep us busy while MDO is out. We bought a snoopy dog house cookie kit and I immediately thought of Kate and Meg! The girls love Snoopy so we got busy baking so they could decorate! The dough didn't turn out quite like I thought and it was a huge messy disaster..... we decided to improvise. We just let the kids do what they wanted with the cookie then tear into the tubes of icing, so much for my crafty idea!

Nashville Christmas

The boys and I went to Nashville last weekend to celebrate Christmas a little early! Andrew was so excited to see Merrick that he could hardly stand it and McKenzie was super excited about Carter! I LOVE seeing the cousins all playing together!

 Mimi bought the boys the sweetest book. She recorded her voice reading it (The Night Before Christmas)

 my nephew should not be this old, happened way too fast:-( He takes drum lessons and is actually really good on the drums!

 Opryland ICE, we froze our ass off while Kenzie begged to stay, Andrew begged to leave and Carter just screamed the whole time. Good family memory though with my mom and sister!

 We met my friend Cameron for brunch on Sunday and I finally got to meet her new baby girl, Harper!! Cameron has 5 boys and I'm so happy for her and her sweet baby girl! She only brought 3 of her brood with her but with my 2 as well, it was a little crazy! We went to nursing school together and have been friends ever since (11 years now!)

Rub a Dub

We were bored at home one day this week and decided to do a little face painting. I'm too vain to show the pictures of what Andrew made my face look like! Not that I did much better with his! The boys took a warm bubble bath in my big bathtub then rinsed off in my shower. Carter was entertaining us and cracking us up by smashing his face up against the glass door!
