Just a quick update on Andrew for all of our loyal followers who are wondering how his is! We went to Nashville for the weekend and stayed with me sister. We had a good time playing with Merrick and McKenzie, but unfortunately I forgot to take my camera. We just took it easy most of the weekend, the kids played a lot, took baths together and ate lots of good foods (thanks to Aunt Adrienne)! Andrew had a lot of trouble sleeping (as usual) so I was exhausted the whole time. Thankfully Aunt Adrienne stayed up with him for me on Sat. night so I could get some rest to drive home on Sun. It was so nice to get some uninterrupted sleep for a night! Andrew took a spill on Sunday while running down the driveway and now has a pretty big abrasion on his forehead. This was his first time to get hurt or bleed so it hurt me too :( Aunt Adrienne took care of his boo-boo by getting Neosporin and a cool Racecar bandaid for him! We have been being lazy this week trying to recover. Andrew got a runny nose yesterday and a fever, then was up all night with a temp of 104. We went to the doctor this morning so he should be feeling better soon hopefully! We can't play with any friends or got to any pf our playgroups now so we will be stuck in the house the rest of the week probably....say a little prayer for my sanity!
These pics are from last week (pre-injury and illness) Andrew loves to sit in Chad's rocker in his office and play with his "thinker" statue. Don't you love the new cheesy smile he gives? and look how huge his FEET are!!

Scrub a Dub!
Can you believe how cute this little boy is?? Maybe it's because I'm his mom, but I just love the gap between his 2 front teeth!! These smiles were for Mimi, I was the one behind the camera!!

Visit from Mimi
My mom came to stay with us this weekend and help out with Andrew. Chad and I got to have date night Friday and Saturday (I forgot to take any pictures, too busy enjoying adult interaction!) thanks to Mimi!! Andrew was crazy about her and did great when I wasn't around...to my surprise! He was a little show off for her and did all of his cute faces, tricks and wild antics to entertain us! Here we are at bedtime tonight while Mimi was saying goodbye to Andrew :( Thanks for everything Mimi, we miss you already.
Puppy Love
My mom brought her dog, Sammie, and Andrew LOVED him!! He has never cared too much about dogs, but he was so excited everytime he saw Sammie this visit! He would stand at the door and cry when Sammie would go out to potty and would squeel when he came back in!

Okay then, I'll just eat it!

Holdin' My Own!
Those of you who really know us well, know that Andrew never held his own bottle. All of my friends kids were holding there's by about 4 months and Andrew just wasn't about to give up that easily! I have been holding his sippy cup for him since I took the bottle away about 4 months ago, and he just now has decided he wants to hold his own!! It cracks me up how he leans back so far that he looks like he's going to fall backwards and his little belly shows!!
LaLaLaLa....LaLaLaLa....Andrew's World
Chad and I took Andrew to see "Super Grover" on Saturday and we all really enjoyed it. Andrew liked it at the beginning but his attention didn't last very long, he eventually wanted to chew on his shoes, stare at everyone behind him, spit on everyone, and touch Amelia's tights! Our friends Caroline and Amelia met us there, so this made our day extra special!!

What Weight Limit?
Merrick brought Andrew these dump trucks last time he came to visit and Andrew loves them! He has a haul and ride that he got for Christmas that he can ride on, so now he thinks he can ride on all dump trucks. Last night he kept getting so frustrated with these trucks and I couldn't figure out why, until I saw him trying to straddle them today! I couldn't believe he actually fit in the back of this one, but he did, even though I'm sure it isn't safe for him to be in it. I pushed him up and down the hallway about a million times today and his smile never got any smaller!! I do anyting to see him smile, and I am getting my lazy butt a workout in the meantime too!

A Date with Amelia
My friend Caroline and I have been getting our kids together since they were in our bellies! Andrew and Amelia are only a couple of months apart and have always just kind of ignored each other when we get together. Well, today was the first time the have ever been both walking, and they played sooooo well together. There wasn't one time we had to break them apart!! No biting, hitting, and they didn't even fight over the same toys (wonderful kids or a fluke??) Amelia is the sweetest little girl, so loving and cuddly! She has so much personality and is quite the little ham! Andrew could learn a thing or two from her.
Here they are watching the Wiggles together (it put them in a trance)
How flippin cute is she!!

The Elephant/Medicine Man
Andrew does then cutest thing when I ask him what the elephant says, he puts his arm up like a trunk and smile so sweet!! He kept doing it for no reason today and thought he was so funny-which he was!! Looks like he's feeling a little better! Also, he has been having to take so many medicines, so often, that he was wanting to play with his bottle of antibiotic and syringe, so sad
He's very used to taking medicine now

Who You Callin' a Girl?
I gave Andrew a little haircut at home today- much better than the last one at the salon. I will probably do them at home from now on, as long as he lets me. He didn't even notice what I was doing because he was too busy playing..much better experience. He now looks more like a little boy and I kept as much of the curls as I could!
My Sick Little Boy
This past week has been pretty awful in the Charapata house. Poor Andrew had a high fever (104) every day and had to go to the doctor twice. He has a double ear infection and some kind of fever virus. He is now on his second antibiotic and has a rash? It is breaking my heart seeing my little boy so sick and helpless. His feet haven't hit the floor at all and he has been getting whatever he wants...he may be a little spoiled after it's all over. This is his first time to ever take an antibiotic or have an ear infection so Chad told me to "spoil him" and I am!!

Happy New Year!
Okay, I know this is technically Andrew's blog, but I wanted to show that his Mommy and Daddy can still have some fun too. Our neighbors were having a New Year's Eve party so Chad and I just planned on going there for a little while to say hello. I told him there was no ways I was going to stay up until midnight since Andrew gets up at 5am and I go to bed at 9pm usually. Anyways, we went and had sooooo much fun!! Everytime I looked at the clock it was closer and closer to midnight and I just didn't want to go home, so we ended up spending the New Year there with our new great friends and getting to bed at 1am. My wonderful husband got up with Andrew at 4:30am and watched him for me until I woke up at 9am (then Chad took a nap)! I am so glad we went and stayed up- we aren't old enough yet to miss the ball dropping at midnight!! Hope everyone has a great 2008! My resolution is to take away Andrew's paci (SOON) and stop talking babytalk to him!
