Boys Just Wanna Have Fun!

We had friends over for dinner and a play date tonight and had a great time! Jeff and Jessica have 2 boys and one on the way! Their oldest is Michael and their 2 year old is Andrew, very confusing for all kids involved. Anytime I scolded my Andrew, theirs would look at me like "what did I do?" They were the cutest boys and played so nice with my Andrew, and I loved that he finally had other boys to play with! I've been getting concerned with all the talk about Tinkerbell and Princess' but tonight was all about swords, baseball trains and trucks! We let them run around while we chatted and enjoyed some adult time.

He'll Always be my Baby

We're working on doing the new baby's nursery and Andrew has decided he wants to switch rooms! He says he wants the "baby room" and Carter can have his big boy room. Maggie gave us a portable swing and Andrew gets in it and tells me that he's a baby and needs his paci. He's even learned to turn the lights and music on, so get all of his lovy's and blankies and pretend to cry! What am I in for when this baby gets here.......can we say regression!

Andrew Fix

Because I haven't posted in so long, I thought everyone may need a little Andrew fix! He is into playing dress up these days (not Tinkerbell and Princess like I would have thought) but crazy outfits he puts together himself. Yesterday it was rainboots and his new glasses (upside down)! He wouldn't take it off or turn his glasses around, so this is what he looked like when we went to Wal Mart. Thank goodness, we didn't run into anyone we knew!

My Birthday

Unfortunately, I didn't take any pictures on Valentines (Chad and I went out to dinner thanks to my wonderful friend Becky). We spent the day caring for a sick boy, at the doctor's office and no one felt like having their picture taken. Even when we got ready to go out for dinner, not in the picture taking mood! The next day was my birthday and I have to say it was one of the hardest days I've had in a long time. If it weren't for my amazing friends and neighbors, I would have to call it the worst birthday ever. Maggie and Dena showed up with a cake (with candles burning) and a gift that made me want to cry, I was so happy! Lara and Kelli came later with a wonderful gift too, and spent time with me, just having girl talk! Becky was here all morning and in addition to the great gifts she gave me, she watched Andrew so I could take a shower (the most needed gift of all).  Chad saw how much I loved the cake (fruit tart) Dena and Maggie bought me, so he got me another huge one the next day! I devoured it by breakfast the next day! Thanks everyone, I don't know what I would do without my Chattanooga "family".

Happy Valentines Day

I am soooo behind on my blogging. Andrew has been sick with croup, fever and an ear infection so the entire last week was spent at the Peds office and waiting in line for prescriptions. Andrew's special Valentine this year, is Kate , of course!! He loves that little girl so much and talks about her all the time. Don't get me wrong, the have their spats, like all toddlers (like the pics below where they're fighting over a measuring tape!) but they always make up like any other lovebirds!

                      Sweet sweet Meg, she is Andrew's next choice if Kate finds another man!


I tried to be mother of the year and keep up with my sister this Valentines. She's always baking things for the kids, putting special notes in their lunches and participating in their classrooms! I would love to be more like that, but it's just not in me, I really have to try. I want to me "that mom" but my pink heart shaped rice crispy treats ended up tasting like crap, but they were pretty!

Aidan's 2nd B'Day Party

We had yet another birthday party at the Little Gym last weekend, for Andrew's sweet friend Aidan. His mom, Brooke is having a baby girl, Addison on Wednesday and she was still the best hostess! Andrew and Aidan collided head on and both had big ol' goose-eggs, but I managed to get some pictures before the "accident"!

Boy's Best Friend

We went out to eat with our neighbors, David and Shanon on Saturday night. Afterwards, they came over and brought their dog Kobe, whom Andrew is crazy about!! Andrew had the best time chasing him around, throwing his chew toy and giving him treats. Andrew was so gentle and looked so sweet petting "Kobs" while he was resting!

Too cool

We finally got some nice weather and were able to play outside! Andrew insists that the sun is "too bright" and needs sunglasses even when dusk sets! He is just too cool for us these days!

Mimi's Baby

Expect me to be complaining about my rotten child for the next few days....Mimi has been here visiting. She has rocked, coddled, and met Andrew's every need the past few days, so I'm sure he's gonna be a lot of fun for me now that she's gone!! He and his Mimi have a special bond and he wants nothing to do with Chad or I when she's around. We were able to go to a nice dinner Wednesday night, so thank you Mimi!! I'm already dreading him waking up from nap in a little bit and realizing she isn't here anymore....come back soon Mimi!!

Baby Carter!

I went for my "big ultrasound" yesterday, where you're supposed to find out the sex and make sure the baby looks healthy. Well, we confirmed that he is definitely a boy and that he's healthy!! Everything looked great, and he measured a week ahead of what we originally thought. That would make me 19 weeks today and the due date would be July 4! Unfortunately my doctor said that since the difference isn't 10 days or more, she will keep the due date the same in my chart......I am changing it in real life though!! If I can make this countdown any shorter, you know I will!! We got a DVD and lots of pictures. I have to say, he is already a really cute baby and was sucking his thumb, yawning (Awww) and taking big gulps of fluid. These are all good signs that he's healthy, but also really cute to watch!!!!

Happy Birthday Ella

Andrew's friend, Ella turned 2 yesterday, so we went to her party at the Little Gym today! Andrew started out grumpy because I had left him all weekend and went to Nashville, but warmed up soon enough. He loves the Little Gym and thought it was so cool that all of his friends were there at one time! Unfortunately, I didn't get that many pictures of the birthday girl, she was too busy running around playing for me to catch her! Happy Birthday Ella, thanks for inviting us to your "Tinkibell party"!!
