Last week, Carter and I took a trip with our neighborhood friends to go blueberry-blackberry picking. Andrew was at art camp and I felt a little guilty about not taking him as well.........until we actually got there. It was so hot and the picking was tedious, messy and there were even bugs involved!!! Andrew would have been miserable but this was right up Carters alley! He loves all things outdoors, ate more berries than he put in his bucket and loved seeing where they came from. It was really a great opportunity to teach him about where different foods come from and how the Lord provides for us!
We picked a ton of blackberries and only ended up with 30 or so blueberries after Carter finished eating! All of this was only $2.15!! Of course, the gas money to drive an hour and a half both ways insane! The farm was way way out past Cleveland and was also a winery!

have you heard of crabtree farms? it's maybe 10 minutes from your house. It's off of rossville blvd. tons of picking to do there!
