Game Face
Teething is for the Birds
How did I forget how much teething stinks? Maybe I blocked it out but poor Carter is struggling with it. I think he's having a harder time than Andrew did, that darn tooth just won't break through. He chews on everything and screams when it falls out of his mouth. Hopefully soon I'll be able to post about our new bottom tooth!

Merry Christmas 2009
Christmas morning was so special for Andrew this year! We made cookies for Santa and carrots for the reindeer the night before, so he was very excited to see they had eaten them. He must have been on the nice list because Santa brought him the 2 things he had asked for (little tiny Darth Maul and a Batcave). Carter got his baby Einstein blocks that he's been begging for and a stocking full of bibs (Santa must think he's a messy eater). We had a wonderful day together and I even got to take Andrew on a Mommy date to see the new Chipmunks movie! Merry Christmas everyone!
Hooray for Carter!
Carter learned to roll from back to tummy on Christmas Eve! He was trying so hard to get to his taggie blanket that my best friend Becky's mom made for him. After doing it once, he's a pro and does it every time I put him on his back. Also I am pleases to report that the sleep situation is much improved. Last night he went from 8:30pm-5:30am, only fussing once at about 11. He rolls all over in his sleep, I find him on his back, belly and facing all different ways now!
Christmas Chaos
This year I played the new baby card and got out of traveling to Nashville for the holidays. I didn't consider the fact that this meant I had to cook for everyone at my house (and I don't cook well!) The whole day was pretty comical, or stressful, depending on how you look at it. My mom's car broke down right before they got here, so my brother-in-law and step-dad had to deal with that whole situation for a few hours (the car is still stuck here in Chattanooga). So, by the time we all sat down to eat, the food was mushy and cold and no one had much of an appetite anyways. The kids went to hang out by the tree while us adults were still talking at the table and little did we know, they (meaning my son) were in there opening ALL the presents. They shouldn't have been trusted in there I guess, but I never though he would do something like that, the gifts have been under the tree for a month and he hasn't touched them. I think a certain 8 year old cousin who can read name tags might have had something to do with this! When I say all the presents, I don't mean his own, I mean everyone else's presents.... Nice huh?!?! It was actually pretty funny and we did have a great time considering all the things that happened. I'm just happy I could be with my family for Christmas and we were all healthy and safe!
