MERRY CHRISTMAS!

Merry Christmas everyone!! This was Andrew's 2nd Christmas, but we didn't make it any less special than the first! We left milk and cookies for Santa and I ate them before bed just like any good mommy should! Andrew was up all night burning up with a fever and congestion. Chad and I tool turns so the other could get some sleep, so we didn't actually open presents until 10am when we were all caught up on our rest. Andrew felt so yucky that he really could care less about the gifts. All he wanted to do was be held (but not messed with) and watch TV:( Hopefully he'll enjoy his toys more when he's feeling better.

His new shopping cart with fake food in it
Not meant to be rode- it flipped over with him in it and Chad caught him
New dump truck from Papa- meant to be rode!
Hokey Pokey Elmo!
Another box to climb on!

He's over it

My New Puppy

Aunt Adrienne bought Andrew a bag of dog food for Christmas since he ate more dog food than people food on this trip! Everytime we looked at him, he was in the dog food bowl at Mimi's house. He would scream and cry when I took it away or tried to get it out of his mouth. Funny joke Adrienne!!

Christmas Eve at Aunt Adrienne's

Andrew was up all night with a stuffy nose and woke up with a fever on Christmas Eve. He was pretty fussy all day and just wanted to lay in my lap. He sat in my lap to open presents and only played with them for a second (in my lap). We ate fast then hit the road to go back to Chattanooga. He was awake the entire drive, but not fussing too much (thanks to the new portable DVD player Mimi bought him). Thanks everyone for all the great presents, great food, free babysitting and help with Andrew- you know who you are!!

He doesn't lok very sick here. Elmo cheered him up!

The way to a man's heart.........

Aunt Adrienne found the trick to making Andrew her new best friend....feed him potato chips!! He loves any kind of chip, but the Bar BQ seemed to be his favorite!! he and McKenzie kept coming back for more so we made them a little chip picnic at the kid table. Oh yeah, this was right before bed when they had already had their teeth brushed!

Party with Papa and Tammy

We had a party at my sisters house with our dad and his wife, Tammy. The kids all racked up on presents and Andrew enjoyed this cardboard box the most!! he used it as a ramp to climb up and run down!

Me, my sister and our kids!

Party with Wayne's family

Wayne is my mom's boyfriend, and we had a party/breakfast at her house Sunday with his family.
The kids wouldn't eat breakfast, but couldn't keep their hands out of the M&M's!

Andrew wouldn't leave the dog food and water alone. He ate so much dog food it's embarrassing

Extended Family Party

We had a party with my Grandmother's side of the family Saturday night in Hermitage, TN. Andrew, Merrick and McKenzie looked so cute all dressed up!! They had fun running around, playing the piano, and eating lemons (Andrew)!

Me, my sister (Adrienne), her husband (Charlie), and all our kids!

Super Cousin!!

Andrew and I went to Nashville for Christmas. I have a lot to post, so I'll start at the first and work my way up. On our first day there, Uncle Charlie offered to babysit (all 3 kids) so my sister and I could go hang out. Before I left I said there was no way Charlie would be able to get him to be good on a walk in the stroller or get him to take a nap.....boy was I wrong, this is what I found when we got back 3 hours later!! Andrew was very good- per Charlie- and his wonderful big cousin Merrick was paid to push Andrew in circles in this stroller for about 30 minutes until he fell asleep! Charlie carried this stroller upstairs and Andrew never woke up, then I put him in bed with me and we napped for about another hour! Thanks for all the help you guys!!

Happy Holidays!!

I love this picture of myself and Andrew so much because if you look at his little mouth- you can see it's full of Fritos!! He loves to eat chips, and I couldn't get him away from the bag to take a picture unless I gave him a bunch before I moved him!

I actually knew how to set the timer on my camera to get a family photo before we went out today!

Andrew Loves Santa!!

Here are some before and after pics of Andrew goingt o see Santa! I knew it would be quite a spectacle, and I was right. Andrew started crying before I even gave him to Santa so I just told Santa "Hold on tight because he's going to try to jump" As you can see in the picture, Santa had a good grip on Andrew's little arms!! He was fine as soon as I took him back- no long term trauma! I will be sending this picture in to the Ellen Degeneres show (she has asked people to send in pics of kids screaming with Santa), who knows, he might have a cameo on Ellen!!

Unwrapping Presents!

Chad's parents (Grandpa Joe and Grandma Dawn) sent Andrew his Christmas presents in the mail since we won't be going there for Christmas this year. Chad wanted to let him go ahead and open them so he could tell them about it when he goes home next week. Andrew was so great at opening the presents and wanted to carry around the boxes as he was tearing the paper off!! He got a Happy Feet penguin book, travel size See and Say and a V Smile Baby!! He really loves the See and Say! I have decided to bring Andrew back to Chattanooga on Christmas Eve so he can be at his own house and see his presents from Santa when he wakes up, then unwrap them (on his own) since he's such a big boy now! I never thought I would want to be away from my sisters on Christmas morning because I love seeing her kids open their presents from Santa, but I never realized Andrew would be old enough to do the same thing this soon!! We just need to move back to Nashville so we can do both! By the way, I know my child never has his pants on, but he's more comfortable that way!!

Neighborhood Christmas Party

Tonight was just the first of many Christmas parties we'll be attending this year! This one was for our neighbirhood and was at the clubhouse. We kept Andrew up past bedtime, but he was a good sport. We were surprised to see Mr. and Mrs. Claus there, which terrified Andrew. I got down on the ground with him in front of them so he could warm up, but he just lost it. Santa came up to him several times during the night- trying to get him used to him, but it never got any better. I'm wondering if we should just skip the trip to the mall this weekend or go for it? I was really wanting to have a picture of Andrew with Santa every year until he no longer believes, so he can look back at them when he's older. Would it be just as funny to see pictures of himself screaming with Santa? I have some pictures of me crying with Santa, and I think they're funny. Chad thinks it will traumatize him- of course! I think it's kind of funny to see kids acting all crazy with Santa!!

Andrew has learned how to give "kisses" When I say give me a kiss..he opens his mouth and comes at me!!

I'm...Too Sexy for My Pants!!

We were all at the table eating while Andrew was running around on the ground. I looked down at him and he was standing there with his pants around his ankles laughing!! Chad dressed him tonight and he put new pants on him, that I guess are too big!! He thought it was even funnier when we all started laughing and grabbed his pants and ran away!! The table next to us thought it was funny too, but I don't think they saw the whole thing unfold and were wondering why he wasn't wearing any pants!
