Choo Choo Soul

I took the boys to ride on the trolley at the Chattanooga Choo Choo last weekend while Chad was at a CPR class. Not only is it free for them but they think it's a real train and love it.... win/win!

Seems like they're handing out lemons to the kids as they board the trolley

Deep thoughts by Andrew Charapata. He wispered to me "mom, this guy is a chatter box, I wish he'd stop talking", referring to the "conductor" who fascinated the kids with Chattanooga history. This kid is so much like his dad it's scary.

Carter got to ring the bell

This kid does nothing half way, his feet are literally off the ground to ring the bell!

Gator Up

What did we do before we owned the Gator?
life was so simple back then.....

We rode to the neighborhood playground where we tortured the dog by letting her slide with Andrew.

Our New Arrival!!!

We have big news.... the boys have a new "baby sister"! Her name is Zoe and she's a beautiful 11 week old cavachon! The boys are smitten and we will hopefully feel the same way after the potty training is complete!

Too cool for bunnies

Chad and I took the boys to the zoo for a little pre- Easter fun. Carter was in heaven and Andrew went along with it as much as he could, all the while, telling us how the Easter Bunny is a fake. He was very persistent about his new theory and argued the whole ride home about why he knows we're the ones who fill up his basket with goodies. Holy cow, the kid is 5, keep believing for at least another year or 2, geez!

Playdate-ER Visit

The kids were out of school last Friday so Andrew's buddy, Xav came over to play. The day was so much fun, they played in the hot tub, playroom, driveway, we made and decorated cookies, went for a haircut, etc etc. They were getting ready to go when it was bed time but decided to play one last game of tag around the kitchen. We heard a loud thump, then a scream and poor Andrew had busted his forehead open on the corner of the granite counter. Cortney and Xav stayed behind to put Carter to bed while I took Andrew to the ER for stitches. He was so scared but did a great job and never even cried while they sewed him up! Also, I have to say we have some pretty amazing neighbors-friends. Our neighbor, Katie, came over to relieve Cortney so she stayed with a sleeping Carter while her 1 yr old was kept awake in our playroom. Then Cortney and Xav surprised Andrew in the ER with new toys, snacks and drinks at 10pm! Sweet Xav was so worried about Andrew that he didn't want to go home and sleep, he just wanted to come check on him and bring him a surprise!
