Christmas Morning

Andrew was so excited when he woke up on Christmas morning and saw the train set Santa had brought! It was so fun to watch his little face and see him to happy. Whenever we go somewhere with a train table, he has the best time and it entertains him for as long as we are there. I figured, what better way to ignore him at home!!! I was so worried that we didn't have enough presents for him, but he ended up with way too many. He was tired of opening pretty early on and I had to finish for him. Aunt Jenny and Uncle Brad sent him a drum set and it's one of his favorite things ever!! You can imagine what I thought when we opened it, just like an Aunt to send the loud toys!!! but it really isn't that loud and he is so darn cute playing them!!
                                                                     Ta Daaaaa
                                                        Silly Faces!

He changed outfits 3 times that morning, if you're wondering why he's in different jammies in every picture! Mimi bought him Cars jammies and he wanted them on immediately.

Christmas in Nashville

This post will be long and boring for some of you but this blog is all about documenting Andrew's life, so I feel the need to put every picture on here! My nephew, niece and son are my favorite people in the world and I think everything they do is blog worthy!! Andrew and I went to Nashville this week to celebrate Christmas with my family, while Chad stayed back in Chattanooga and worked. We stayed very busy but had lots of fun playing at Aunt Adrienne's house. Andrew and Merrick had a blast playing but McKenzie was a little left out. She's hoping that I have a girl so she can have a playmate!! Andrew was pretty mean to her (which is very out of character for him) and even bit her several times. We took all 3 kids to the movies and Andrew sat in Merrick's lap most of the time, actually, he stayed in Merrick's lap most of the trip! Thank you guys so much for letting us trash your house, take your beds and eat all of your food, we had a great time doing it!!

Andrew's favorite Christmas present (handy manny tool box from Aunt Adrienne)
                                                         This boy LOVES his Mimi!!
If you enlarge it, you can see his little tongue sticking out, just like his Daddy!!
                                                        McKenzie loved her cookie set
At the nursing home, visiting my Great Great Aunt. Mimi and I took all 3 kids so Adrienne could cook. They were so good, but a little bored, not much to play with in an 89 year old's appt!

                                                        Mimi and her grandkids
Playing the piano as loud as possible, I told my Aunt to be glad her hearing was gone!

Nightly game of chase at Aunt Adrienne's!
jumping on the mattress on the floor (Merrick's bed while he gave us his room!)
                                                                     3 Little Monkeys
                                                 Yep, those are Dora earmuffs
I just love little feet and toes!
eating mini M&M's on Aunt Adrienne's new leather couch!!
                                                                   More chase.....
                                                                Peek a Boo
emptying out all of Aunt Adrienne's underwear!!
Merrick said "what kind of mother are you, letting your kid eat chips for breakfast?" I also let him have hot dogs with lots of nitrates.......gasp!!!
My little nephew lost his 2 front teeth. Great opportunity for lots of jokes at                                                               Christmas time!!
                                                         My adorable little niece!

Like Father......

Andrew loves to get in "Daddy's big boy bed" and get under the covers. He only wants to lay on Chad's side and will work so hard until he gets the sheets just like he wants them. Then he tells me that I can go bye bye so he can snuggle with Daddy!

Update

Let me give a little update on our crazy lives this past week. Some people are giving me crap about not updating my blog (Love you Brooke!!), and I need to explain. On Wed. I took Andrew to the doctor for 104 temp and the doctor told me he was a "train wreck". He was diagnosed with an ear infection, throat infection (swollen tonsils with pus on them), croup, and pink eye. We were sent home with steroids (which made him crazy and sleep less than he already was), eye drops and an antibiotic. Our nights have been sleepless and miserable. I slept in his room on the floor the first night and woke up feeling like a train wreck myself. I am now on antibiotics as well and feel like I need someone to take care of me :( Andrew hasn't been improving much and is still up all night, so we went back to the doctor yesterday. His ear infection is resistant to the antibiotic he was on, so it hasn't gotten any better. In other words, I've been wasting my time and efforts for 4 days giving him antibiotics in hopes that he was getting better. We now have a stronger antibiotic (that will probably cause diarrhea) and are both hopefully on the way out of this mess. I promise to be better about my blogging as soon as I feel human again, remember there aren't very many good drugs available when you're pregnant and sick! Please check back with us soon and I promise to have pictures. Besides, who wants to see pics of us with snot coming out of our noses? Now zip it Brooke!!!

Baby Bear!

I went for my 10 week appt and US today and the little baby looks great! The due date seems to be July 10th but I'll have a C-Section a few weeks prior. Chad and Andrew were both there for the visit and Andrew sat on my chest the entire time for the ultrasound, he seemed to think they were hurting "his mommy". He wanted to hold the pictures of the baby and anytime someone would look at them he would yell "my baby".  Tonight he wanted to show the baby in my belly the pictures, so I think he may be a little confused! Hope you can make out the baby in pictures, it looks like a little teddy bear.

Birthday Muffins

This morning I made muffins for breakfast and Andrew wanted to "help Mommy" with the entire process. He wanted to watch the muffins as they were cooking in the oven so I got the step-stool so I didn't have to hold him. He was so excited for them to be done and when we sat down to eat them, he said they were Happy Birthday muffins! The paper holders I had made them in were party themed and had balloons on them. Isn't that funny how he associated the balloons on the paper with a birthday? Anyways, as he sat there holding his little muffin, he started singing, "Happy Buffday to woo, Happy Buffday to muffin" and it was about the cutest thing I've ever heard!

                                                This is him singing!
I'm slightly embarrassed about how dirty my oven door is!

The Next Tiger Woods??

Andrew loves reading through our coffee table books (the boring ones that are just for looks). His favorite is the Tiger Woods book on how he plays golf. Chad sat with Andrew in his lap and went through every page last night, answering "what's that" over and over. Andrew loves to flip through the pages on his own and study how to improve his golf game!

Santa's Wap

We have been talking Santa Claus up so much this year, that Andrew couldn't wait to go sit on his "wap". Even though he's been asking for Santa and telling me that Santa's nice because he brings presents,  I still wasn't sure how he would do when the time actually came. We built up the excitement the whole way to the mall so Andrew was so ready when he saw Santa. He said he didn't want to wait for his turn, but wanted Santa's lap now! He sat right up there like a big boy and when asked what he wanted for Christmas, he responded "presents"! He didn't want down and whined the rest of the day for more Santa! What a huge difference a year makes.

Oh Christmas Tree

Chad and I put up our Christmas decorations last week, and Andrew wanted to "help Mommy" the entire time. He wanted to straighten out all of the branches on the tree and stand on the stepladder just like we were. He hung a few ornaments and only 2 have been broken! He is pretty good about listening and not touching the tree, but this morning while I was getting ready (ignoring him), he took lots of them off and lined them up on the couch! He hasn't tried to unwrap any of the presents under the tree and has pretty much stayed away from all the other decorations.....did I just jinx myself?
