Cheese

It's official, Andrew actually starts crying when he sees me bring out the camera. He is so tired of having his picture taken (who can blame him),that he was saying cheese while crying "no piture" this morning! He did cheer up and I got some cute shots of him playing outside in his jammies. We stayed in our PJ's until 1pm for me and 4pm for Andrew, what a great way to spend a Sunday! Our friends/neighbors, Lisa and Jeff, have a new baby boy named JJ, who Andrew talks about constantly. We were on a walk last night and he was begging to go see "baby JJ" when we walked by their house (yes, he knows which house is JJ's). Anyways, we stopped by (I hate it when people stop by without calling) and Andrew was so excited to see JJ. Lisa gave us a wallet size picture of him and Andrew was so excited that he was kissing it. He put it in his wagon and said "baby JJ sit" "I walk baby JJ" and pulled the wagon all the way home. This morning he went straight to the wagon/picture and wanted to walk JJ again, as well as Dora (a plastic Dora that came on a cupcake his friend Catelyn gave him).
Baby JJ riding in the wagon
                                                               Dora riding in there too!

Like Father, Like Son

Andrew has become quite the Daddy's boy recently, to my delight! Everyone knows what a Momma's boy he has been for the past 2 years, so this was a welcome change. He actually chooses Chad over me at times and wants to do everything his Daddy does, wear everything he wears, eat everything he eats.... you get the point. It's so nice to get a break once in a while now and it's so cute seeing him with his Daddy!

Tree Hugger

I took Andrew to the Chattanooga Nature Center this afternoon, to enjoy the weather and try to get some pictures. He was so busy playing/running around, that it was pretty difficult to enjoy the scenery or get a good shot! He found a green nut of some sort and had a blast throwing it, chasing it and kicking it. A stranger walked by us and Andrew looked up at him and said " I foud gween ball"....so cute!

Ladies Man at the Zoo

My little boy is such a stud, I just can't keep the girls away from him! We went to the zoo today with Marissa (Ella) and Caroline (Amelia), both crushes of Andrews' and had such a good time. Andrew talked about the "zzzzzzoo" the entire ride there and kept saying "I wanna see zzzzoo" while we were there. I think he thought zoo was an actual thing he could see/play with? Anyways, he was so excited to see the monkeys "unkeys" and asked for more of them the rest of the afternoon. He was telling Chad and I tonight about the "unkeys make mess" because we watched a monkey peel an orange and throw the peel on the ground. I can't believe they don't just eat the peel anyways, are they taught to peel it or do they just know? He also talked about "unkey's feet" all night, not sure what that's about. We fed the kids lunch (junk) there at the zoo, where Andrew was pursued by all the ladies! Amelia put him in a choke hold-hug, and we couldn't believe how long it lasted without him screaming (although, Caroline thought it was because she was compressing his trachea)! Then Andrew did a little flirting of his own with Ella, anything to get a laugh!!

Not so Handy manny

My neighbor/friend, Maggie bought Andrew a tool set, along with this hard hat and goggles for his birthday! Andrew wanted to wear them all day yesterday, but made the funniest face when he had them on, like he wanted to crawl under a rock and hide. I think he looks so cute but grumpy!!

Happy Birthday Andrew!

My little boy turned 2 yesterday!!! We didn't do anything exciting, just drove back home from Nashville, took a nap, then went for a walk. Andrew was super grumpy because he wouldn't sleep during the car ride, then I finally got him to nap at home and had to wake him up at 5pm. he woke up on the wrong side of the bed and was a terror the rest of the evening. Chad missed his flight home so he didn't get to see Andrew and I was alone all night dealing with a fussy boy. We tried to take a walk, but Andrew melted down halfway through and I had to walk back home carrying him/forcing him to sit in his wagon. He's definitely 2!! Happy Birthday Baby Boy!

Birthday Coffee

When Andrew woke up the morning of his birthday he immediately asked for cake and COPY!! He watches and sips while I have my coffee every morning, even though it's NOT decaf. My sister and I were upset when we realized at 7am that there was no coffee in the house. We decided to just jump in the car with all of us in our pajamas and go to Starbucks. We got the kids their own drinks (hot chocolate for Andrew) and they thought they were so cool. We let them play outside since Andrew was spilling his drink all over the place and they just looked so cute with their Starbucks cups.

Busy Days

Saturday was a busy day for us. Andrew was pretty fussy and actually bit Mckenzie's finger so hard that he almost removed it from the nuckle up...Yikes! They were in the backseat, so my sister and I had to listen to them both screaming the whole way home.
                                                   My soccer champ nephew, Merrick!
McKenzie and Andrew at soccer game

Kenzie wants Andrew to touch the bugs
                                                                    No Way!!

Monkey's Treehouse

My sister and I took the kids to a great place in Nashville called Monkey's Treehouse. It's an indoor play place that was started by a mom who lives in my old neighborhood. It was so clean and fun for the kids and had an area for mom's to sit and watch a flat screen TV with their shows instead of the kids (AKA a place to go ignore your children while knowing they're safe)!!

Rock n Roll Momma

My sister in into 80's hair bands, so she and Charlie went out to go watch a Bon Jovie cover band Friday night. Andrew and McKenzie went to bed before they left, so I got to have some alone time with Merrick. He informed me that he's getting hair on his chin and will probably need to start shaving at about 8 or 9!!

Night Night

                                         That's my niece, a picture's worth a thousand words!!

After the kids were all bathed and in their jammies, they had fun playing with all of Andrew's new loot (birthday presents from Aunt Adrienne and Uncle Charlie) They played so well together this visit, except for the occasional "mine"! I think they all look so sweet in their PJ's!
