A Day at the Beach

My super fun and creative friend, Mary Catherine came up with the idea of having a "beach day" at her house. She had kiddie pools filled with sand, water tables, beach towels, snacks and lots of kiddos! We all brought packed lunches and a change of clothes for the kids so we could stay until nap time! I made some new friends, loved seeing my Bible Study girls and my kids had more fun than they have in a while! The kids decided to move the party inside at some point, where they tracked sand all over her house. I can't even imagine how stressed I would be running around with a broom.... great idea for a play date, as long as it's at someone else's house!

I couldn't get over how beautiful this little girl was. She's the same age as Carter and has an older brother who's equally as adorable. Everytime I picked up my camera, she would stop what she was doing, look at me, smile this smile and say "cheese". I totally would've traded kids with Erin if she agreed.
love this look John was giving me!

Old Friends, New Babies!

The boys and I met our friends (previous neighbors), the Owens' for lunch and ice cream last week! We've missed them so much since they moved but our kids played together like they see each other every day! Katelyn and Grant now have a new baby brother, Griffin, who is such a sweet happy chunky baby, I could kiss his little cheeks all day.

Neighborhood Boys

Last weekend, we played in our neighbors driveway and enjoyed the sunshine. Their son, Tyler is a little younger than Carter but could take on either of my kids any day! He holds his own and can eat twice the amount of food my boys can, love this little guy!

Workin' At the Car Wash

We went over to the Watson house, where Lara brilliantly gave her girls soapy water  and sponges to wash all of their ride ons. I couldn't believe my kids wanted to jump right in there..... why have I never thought of this idea?!?! It ended up turning into a water fight between the girls and Andrew, they won and Andrew was ticked off, covered in soapy water and had nail scratches on his back. We really need to toughen this kid up.

Can you tell, Andrew is SCREAMING at the girls!

Batter Up

My little Andrew just started T Ball last week, so this is the first of many pictures of him on the ball field! They have only been practicing so far, and his first game will be next weekend..... I'm way more excited than him! I grew up playing softball (I know, this is a shocker since I'm so lazy now) and Chad was a little league rockstar so we are the beaming parents on the bleachers with our noses pressed up against the fence! Since finding out I was going to be the mom of 2 little boys, I've been looking forward to summers at the ball park, let's just hope they enjoy it as much as I do!

Thumbs up! Andrew's team will be the Braves, they should have their jerseys by game day
Carty waving to big brother, he's dying to get out on the field with him!

 My little lefty!
Not so excited about practicing catching ground balls.  Poor Chad, he made it to the first practice and wanted to be out there helping so bad. He's so proud of Andrew and just couldn't make himself sit down to rest.
we need to work on keeping his eye on the ball
 really, Andrew?
batting helmet on backwards, he's gangsta like that!

Bubbles Balls and Bikes

My friend, Mary Catherine was nice (and creative) enough to plan this awesome week full of fun activities for the kids while everyone is on Spring Break. For our day at Coolidge, we had bubbles, balls and ride on's which the kids all loved! Andrew had Grady and Emma to play with while Carter had Quinn, John and Mary West, so the mommy's had some time to hang out and enjoy the sunshine.
