3 Amigos

Andrews best friends, Kate and Meg, came over to play on Friday morning. They were all still in their jammies and ran around from room to room playing with as many toys as they could in a 3 hour period. It's so fun to watch him play with them, he's so different than he is with any other friends. He wants to be right there with them, doing whatever they're doing and showing them all the things he can do! He really loves these girls, and I love hanging out with their mommy, so everybody's happy!!

                                                         Meg saying Ta Dah!!!

                                                               grocery shopping together!
                                                Meg loves giving hugs!

snuggling under the covers, these two can't get enough of each other!

Takin' it Easy

Everyone knows that I'm about to pop with this baby inside me, so Andrew and I are takin' it easy this week. We ventured out to Little Gym and Daddy's work but other than that we are just doing indoor playdates and playing in the driveway in the evenings. We're spending lots of time in front of the TV snuggling on the couch or in my bed. My child would watch TV all day if I let him and this week has reminded me why I don't. He's no longer content with Diego and Wonder Pets but has moved on to wanting Spider Man and Batman. After giving in and just thinking they wouldn't be education but couldn't hurt, I am now hearing the words, shoot, kill, and fight constantly. I see now where it all begins and am hoping I can have the will power to not let him watch these shows anymore. I even gave in and bought him his first light saber the other day. You can only imagine how many times I've been hit with that thing and how many times he's "killed" something. And why in the world did I buy this weapon a week before there's a new baby in the house. We do what we can to get by I guess! 6 days until baby Carter gets here. I expect everyone who reads this blog (except for the stalkers I may have) to come visit us in the hospital. I didn't have any friends here when I had Andrew and had no visitors, so I expect a full crowd this time....consider this your open invitation!

Here Comes the Bride!

Andrew attended his first wedding tonight and his "best friend" Kate and Meg were flower girls! I'm sure everyone has heard me talk about our wonderful babysitter(s), Laura and Drew, well that's who got married. It was at her parents farm and everything was beautiful. Laura looked amazing and I just love watching how happy people are on their wedding day! It was miserably hot and my feet were so swollen I couldn't feel them on the way home, but I'm still so glad I was able to be there!!

very bad angle for me, my boobs are ginormous
I swear I fixed my hair but it was soaked after sitting                                                                            through an outdoor ceremony in 95 degree heat

The Good the Bad and the Ugly

Chad and I celebrated our 5 year anniversary last weekend and I couldn't not do a blog post about it. I have been avoiding social outings and pictures as much as I can, seeing as I am larger than I have EVER been in my life and feeling it too. I actually got ready for my date night, was feeling pretty sexy, then looked at these pictures and cried. I have told myself that this is temporary and I still want to document these important events on the blog. so here it is! Our neighbors babysat so Chad and I could go to Canyon Grill (yummy) and we had a great night out!

NOAH'S ARK/SWINGSET

Everytime we're playing on Andrew's swinget I try to ask him who built it for him. I want to always remind him that my dad (Papa) and Chad (Daddy) built it so he knows how special it is. He usually answers correctly but today when I asked him he said "Noah"!! I guess reading his toddler Bible is confusing him a little bit! Can you believe how grown up he's looking now? I see him every day and it still amazes me how much he's changing right now. Good thing I'm about to have a tiny little baby because mine isn't so tiny anymore. By the way, all of these smiles that I captured on camera today were because he was saying the word "poopy" which he knows is a bad word that he's not supposed to say. Why in the world do little kids think it's so funny to say poopy head?

Growing Up

Just thought everyone might me needing an Andrew update since I haven't posted in about a month! He is doing great and is cracking us up every day with the things he says and does. He is so silly and is all about making us laugh. He sings all the time and even prefers that to talking! He has a memory like I've never seen before and could even tell you what I was wearing the day I delivered him! We went to the mall and Andrew insisted I buy him this frisbee "chrisbee" in his favorite color, orange. He has no idea what to do with it but decided that rolling it would be the most fun. He's really into his action figures these days too. He LOVES Batman, Spiderman and Star Wars. I though for sure kids had to be 7 or 8 for this stuff and he should still be into Blues Clues and Elmo, but I guess I was wrong. He tells me all the time that he wants a Star Wars (Yoda) birthday party. My little boy is growing up way too fast

For all of my friends with little girls, this is what boys do...
"shoot you" with their pretend guns and light sabers

Neighborhood Baby Shower

First of all, I feel like such a slacker that it's taken me over 2 weeks to get these pictures on here. I had the best time at my shower and am sooooo grateful to my wonderful friends who hosted it for me and all of those who attended. My mom, sister and best friend Becky even came in town from Nashville, making the day even more special!!! Everything was so simple and elegant and the food was amazing!! Even though this was my second shower and supposed to be a "diaper and doo dads shower" everyone went way overboard and bought me (Carter) some great gifts! Thanks so much to everyone who made it possible and came to celebrate with us!

The blanket my mom (Mimi) knitted for Carter! So special to me!
