Twinkle Toes

My little man was watching me paint my toenails and decided that he wanted his painted too. He's never seen me do mine before so he thought it was "so so cool" that I was "coloring my feet". After he threw and fit, I caved just so he would stop and let me finish my own. Needless to say, Chad noticed as soon as he got home and wasn't very happy. It didn't help that Andrew was fascinated with his polished toes and kept staring at them and telling us about his "pretty toes!" It will come off soon enough and this is just what happens when a Mommy of soon to be 2 boys has to watch Star Wars all day.

Brighten My Day

Chad brought my these beautiful tulips Sunday and it really did brighten my day! I haven't left the house (not even for a minute) since Thursday afternoon, and it's now Tuesday. Andrew has been sick with croup and 103 fever, so we've been trapped in the house. We've been up all night every night and awake for the day by 4:30am. I am exhausted and very much in need of a shower and hair wash. Thank goodness no one has seen me because I've really let myself go! Enough about me, thank you so much for the beautiful flowers honey, even though I didn't act excited, I do love them!

My Famous Boy

Andrew is in the paper today, Chattanooga Times Free Press. I am about to go take all that I can get my hands on at Wal-Mart. I was already out at 6am stealing one off of a neighbors driveway because I was so excited to see it! Hmmm, wonder if she's gonna read this and figure it out! He was so good that day and was the biggest show off. Fortunately, I was able to steal the pictures off of their website! You can order his pics on aprons and mugs if you feel you need one!!

Sesame Street Live

I'm about a week behind on my blogging and I didn't even take 1 picture this week. My mom was here and I really wish I would've taken some of she and Andrew. He is in love with his Mimi. They were inseparable and he wanted her to do everything for him. They took baths together and laughed until I thought Andrew was going to be sick, went to dinner together and got lots of kisses and snuggles in! Mimi got to take Andrew to big boy school with me and she wasn't too happy when we had to leave him there :( but there was no way I was giving up my free day. Parents aren't allowed in the classroom and they always have the door closed except for the top part that is separate. His teacher just has me hand him over to her then leave. For some reason the door was open and Mimi pushed her way right in there so she could look at his classroom. I'm sure his teacher's are glad she's in Nashville!! When I picked him up, he looked at me and cried, screaming "where's Mimi, I want my Mimi" I told his she was gone and he went into meltdown mode. I had to pretend we were going to go look for her to clam him down! Here are some pictures from Sesame Street last weekend. We went with a big group and had a fun time. Andrew wanted to sit on Maggie's lap the whole time, so I got to just sit there and take it easy!

Boys Day Out

I watched my friend, Stephanie's little boy, Lake last weekend and he is the sweetest little boy. He brought me everything he picked up and would hand it back to me if I sat it down! He and Andrew were so sweet to each other and Andrew would lead him around telling him "be careful, Lake". I think in the short hour he was here, they played with everything we have upstairs. It's so funny how boys bounce from one thing to another and little girls can sit there and play with something forever. Well, I know a few girls who are the exception to that! He was a pleasure to have over and we would love to have him anytime...hint hint Steph!

Say "peanuts"

Whenever I take a pictures and tell Andrew to say cheese, he yells "peanuts" This word has become quite the joke in our house for some reason. Andrew just started saying it and he loves to scream it out and see who will look and laugh at him....don't ask me?? He loves for me to set the self timer on the camera so he can take a picture with Mommy and Daddy. This was last night before we went to dinner at the Olive garden, he was excellent and made it a great night!

Nice to Meet You

Andrew loves to scream "Hello" whenever he sees new people and now he's started to say "nice to meet you"! My nephew, Merrick, used to say this when he was a toddler and I thought it was the cutest thing ever! Andrew wanted to wear my "mittens" which were oven mits and he kept shaking my hand and saying "nice to meet you Mommy". He's been cracking me up lately with all the crazy things he makes up, he loves to get a good laugh out of anyone who will listen!

Boy oh Boy!!

Went to the OB today and found out we're having another boy!! My doctor is awesome and does ultrasounds at every visit, so she thought she might be able to tell the sex today. This little one was just like Andrew was and had his butt in the air, legs spread apart and his pee-pee was there for the world to see! There was never a doubt about Andrew being a boy and I think this one will be the same. My doctor doesn't want to say it's 100% since I'm only 14 weeks, but it was pretty obvious to all of us. He was squirming around and kicking the whole time we were watching him and looked so cute already!

I think the baby is on it's belly and you can see it kicking me, his heel is in the air
                                                  Frontal view aka alien shot!
Frontal view with his arm up
butt with legs spread apart and pee pee in the middle!

Big Girl Panties

I know Andrew is going to kill me one day for posting this, but it's just too funny not to share! I decided to try to potty train this weekend, we were home, social pressures, new baby coming, and he had been telling Chad he wanted to pee on the potty. We made a big deal out of going to Wal Mart and letting him pick out big boy underwear, pull ups and M&M treats. Well, he didn't like wearing the underwear and was upset that they weren't shirts. Apparently when he picked them out (Thomas, Cars, Diego and SpiderMan), he thought he was getting shirts? He wanted them off and wanted to wear "big girl panties" like Kate and Kiki. So, I decided to try the Pull-Ups. He kept arguing with me and telling me that they were diapers but he still wore them. In the meantime, he's pee-pee'd on the potty about 5 times and only 1 accident on the floor. The boy could squeeze out urine every 10 minutes for an M&M! He came to me screaming and crying, saying that his "pee-pee huts, Mommy kiss it". First, I had to explain that I can't kiss all boo-boos then Chad and I took a look to see what was wrong. We thought maybe he had pushed too hard trying to pee for those M&M's, but nothing was wrong. Later that night, he did the same thing, so I took the Pull-Up off to see of maybe it was irritating him. Well, I had bought Cool Alert Pull-Ups and they were getting super cold when he would pee in them and he didn't know how else to explain it other than saying that it hurt. So he asked me for "clean diaper please" and I put him back in diapers. The whole thing was pretty stressful and semi-traumatic for me. I think when he's really ready we'll know and I need to give it some more time. Until then, enjoy laughing at these pictures of him adjusting himself in his "big girl panties"

Hot Tub Party

Chad and Andrew got in the hot tub this weekend and I opted to stay out at take pictures. Not only do I look repulsive in a bathing suite right now, but I didn't want to cook the new baby! Andrew LOVED being in there and ended up naked after a few minutes. Chad accidentally put a pull-up on him instead of a swim diaper and poor Andrew was floating the the top with his booty!

Happy New Year

Chad and I went out to dinner last night with a group of about 20 friends and had a babysitter (my friend Laura) come watch Andrew. We had a nice time and were home by 9:30, so I could get my tired pregnant self in bed! Who can really stay up till midnight anymore, we're getting too old for that! Also, I know my face looks huge in these pictures, that's what happens to me when I'm pregnant, it will go back down to normal in about 6 months!

Movin' on up

Andrew has turned into such a  character lately. We really see his personality coming out and he loves to get a laugh out of anyone. He has learned so much lately so I have to brag for a minute. He can count to 10, sometimes 13, names every letter of the alphabet as soon as he looks at it and tells us it's sound, knows all of his shapes and talks in sentences. He likes to call himself Andrew Michael Pata when he does something he shouldn't and also calls others this (Batman Michael Pata, Sammie Michael Pata, Daddy Michael Pata), it's really funny to hear it in person. He has learned when to use him and her and uses those words a lot. When he says "where's Daddy" and I say "at work" he'll say "let's go see him"! He has learned the difference between in, on, under and will say "I want juice in it" about every sippie cup he can find! He also says 2 minutes 5 days quite a bit and we've yet to figure out what this means. He must know something we don't that he's counting down to!
David and Shanon bought him a Mickey Mouse sippie and jammies
(he won't part with either of them)

Boys Will be Boys

Our neighbors, David and Shanon (who have no children yet) have a 3 year old staying with them for an entire week. Most people can appreciate how stressful this is pre-having your own kid! They came over to our house for dinner so Josh and Andrew could run around our house for a few hours and no one would have to worry about him breaking anything or making a mess. There is nothing off limits in this house and if something can be torn up, it's already been done by our little man! Anyways, they had lots of fun and Andrew provided after dinner entertainment by dancing to Nickelback in his goggles. Both the song and choice of eye wear were his decision and he cracked us all up with his moves! When he had his goggles on he would lift them up and say "it's me, Andrew", just in case we didn't recognize him in his disguise!
