Charapata Choo CHoo

Chad and I took Andrew to the Chattanooga Choo Choo today! I had been a few weeks ago, but this was Chad's first time to go with us and ride on the trolley. We told Andrew is was a choo-choo since a trolley meant nothing to him, but he ended up calling it a bus because it was yellow! He loved the ride and repeated choo-choo over and over while we were on it. We let him run around and play afterwards where he watched the fish and playing in the water. Yes, I dressed him to match Chad, don't make fun of me, I just thought it would be cute!

                                                          Smelling flowers!

On Call

Chad and I tool Andrew to Coolidge Park for a picnic lunch yesterday. We had Subway and a soccer ball, but Andrew was too busy answering calls to hang out with us.

Would you be nervous?

I'm not typically the type of mom who worries about my child all the time (my sister my argue with that statement!), and Chad is the one who hovers and is concerned about Andrew's safety. We went to the St. Elmo Park this evening, and I have to admit, I was surprised by my little boy's daredevil risk taking (not normally him) and also surprised at how nervous it made me! He wanted to do the BIG slide all by himself, after doing it with Daddy first. He had so much fun and cried "more park" the whole way home. Also, he picked up a bee and squished it between his fingers, it stung him, and there was lot's of pain and crying to follow. For some reason he kept crying "more bees" and "Bzzzz" all night, even though we told him bees were mean and needed a spanking. I would love to find that bee and torture it for hurting my baby.....oh yeah, I'm not that kind of mom!

No shower, food all over me and no makeup, but some lady insisted on taking a family pic?
Everyone else looks cute so I had to post it.

Daddy's Caddy

Chad wanted to go put a few nights ago, so we decided to take Andrew before bedtime. It's so nice to be able to walk out our back door to the 2nd tee and just let Andrew run around. He wants to be just like his Daddy, and every time Chad was going to put Andrew would say "I try" over and over. He had a blast chasing the balls and throwing them in the hold...that's my kind of golf!!

We Keep Going and Going........

Okay, I know I've been blogging daily, but it's not because we haven't been busy. We've been going non-stop all day every day, but for some reason, I've taken lots of pictures. Kate's been at the beach with her family, and Andrew and I have been lost without them. We're usually there every day so we've both been excited for them to come back! Today we met them at the park in the morning, had lunch with Chad at the hospital, then played in their backyard kiddie pool in the afternoon.
                                                   Kate showin' some love

                                                              Sweet Meg
Funny story, Andrew and I were the only ones at the park so I just let him run around. He went up the steps to go down the big slide and I stayed on the bottom. He came running up to me screaming, but not his normal fussy cry. I thought maybe he'd gotten stung by a bee or something until I looked further and saw a man laying down right in front of the top of the slide....no wonder he was scared. I freaked out, grabbed Andrew and my purse and hurried back to the car. Maggie had just pulled up so we felt it would be safe to go back together. Anyways, he stayed in that spot until right before we left, so we had to keep the kids away from that area.....creepy. He ended up being a young thug looking guy, not really homeless looking?? Here he is walking away. I was scared to take a picture where he could see me.

                                                 Showing his muscles!

Slip n Slide

Andrew and I went to the Blackiston's house for a playdate yesterday along with Katelyn and Grant. This put the grand total number of children at 6!! They had a lot of fun going down the wet slide and landing in the baby pool. Steph's boys had no fear, but Katelyn was reluctant after she wiped out and Andrew was having no part in it! Thanks for having us over and letting us trash your house!
                                             Andrew's supervising! Bubba and Katelyn
                                                Lake and Grant
                                                         Katelyn's wipe out!
Reece put together an awesome track and showed Andrew all of his trains!!

Chattanooga Choo-Choo

I was so excited when my friend, Sonya, called me yesterday to say she was on her way to Chattanooga. We were partners about 4 years as Pediatric Nurses, but haven't seen each other in almost 2 years. I was there for her oldest son, Jonah's birth but have only seen Emory once. Andrew and Emory are exactly a month apart, so I was excited to see them play together! We had a great time, and I got to experience Chattanooga in a way that I hadn't before. They were staying at the Choo-Choo, which included them sleeping in a real traincar!! It was so cool, and now I really want to stay there too! We rode on the trolley, which the boys loved and took the bus to the Discovery Museum!!

                                              On the trolley

Digging for dinosaur fossils at the museum

Sweet Emory....he said Cheese and loved having his picture taken!

The Great Outdoors

Andrew and I are spending our afternoons in the driveway playing and enjoying the cooler weather. His favorite thing is to water all of the trees and flowers and, of course, his Flavor Ice!!
