Last weekend, Andrew's friend Hannah had her 4th birthday party at Coolidge Park. All of their buddies were there and it was a perfect day for an outdoor party at the fountains! To say Hannah has a ting for Andrew would be an understatement so she had her little eye on him the entire time and even gave him the stuffed bunny that Barney gave her..... now that's love! I have never seen this sweet girl have a bad attitude or not share, she definitely has this mother's approval!

10 things
10 (of the many thousand) things I love about my Carty
1 He's a wild and crazy red head
2 He loves sports- anything with a ball
3 He already insists on standing up to pee
4 He laughs with his eyes
5 Sometimes he laughs so hard (at himself) he can't catch his breath
6 He has to have his tongue out to get any big task accomplished
7 He hates his feet being dirty
8 He loves cleaning his crib with baby wipes
9 His curls make swirlies on the back of his head
10 He brings so much JOY to my life!

Wedding Bells
Andrew's babysitter crush, Kristy came over Friday and he wanted to do something special for her since her birthday was the day before. We cut some fresh flowers and he made her the sweetest card ever! Because I knew I couldn't keep the card and he never makes anything that elaborate for me :-( I had to take pictures.

Ava Turns 2!
My friend Caroline's sweet baby Ava had her 2nd birthday party last weekend at their BEAUTIFUL new home!! The boys had lots of fun play time, ate lots of pizza, yummy cake and were worn out for the bedtime. I'm so happy we're a part of this sweet families life and get to celebrate with them every year!

and Baby Makes Three...
I had the privilege of watching my friend Kelli's baby Griffin while she was at work and her husband went to make sure he still had an office after the tornado's. I had just been looking at pictures of him the day before and thinking about how much he'd grown and I wouldn't get to know him as well as I did her other 2 kids, so what a blessing! He was the sweetest baby and my boys LOVED him! Carter was asleep when he got here so I was really worried about what he would do when he woke up. He was so excited to see a baby and wanted to give him his pacis and lovies, whats!?!?! He really couldn't get enough of baby Griffin and wasn't jealous at all, hint hint Chad! Come back anytime sweet baby Griffin!

Antics
Andrew accidentally scratched his face with his nails and left 2 pretty nasty looking marks. After I asked him to go get ready one morning last week, he came out with my concealer plastered on his face. I couldn't stop laughing and he said he was so tired of everyone being sad for him and asking him what happened to his face! After I composed myself, I explained how much more attention he would be getting with makeup on his face, he reluctantly washed it off!
Carter teaching Andrew a thing or 2 about the portable DVD playerWearing big boy underwear with boxers on top! He decided he wanted to potty train himself on Thursday..... I wasn't as eager to get started.

He is Risen!
The boys and I copied my friend Lara and made Resurrection Rolls on Easter Sunday! It's such a fun idea that teaches the story of the resurrection in a tangible way.
The marshmallow represents Jesus' body, roll it in melted butter (oils to prepare the body) then cinnamon (spices to prepare the body)
put in a crescent roll (represents the burial clothes) and fold up, pressing edges together
put them in the oven (represents the tomb)
the marshmallow disappears (melts) just as Jesus' body was missing from the tomb after he was resurrected!!!
Bonus: they are delicious!
