Carty Turns 2!

Last Saturday my family came in town for Carter's 2nd birthday! We had planned on just celebrating with Chad, myself and the boys but my mom, sister and kids were nice enough to come join us for the day! We had such a great time together and it was much less stressful to just keep it small and all about the Carty! We went to for the big 2year checkup on Monday and he was 30 lbs (80%) and 36in (99%), on his way to be a linebacker!

Old Pals

Kate and Meg came over to play and my boys were so excited! Andrew loves these girls and has the best time when they come over. Around 11:30 he informed me that they would like their lunch served on the couch and it was the cutest thing watching them all sitting there watching TV and eating. I can't believe there are 4 of them now and how big they all are!

Silly Hair Day

The boys had silly hair day at school last week and I was set on giving Carty pig tails. I now know what mom's of little girls go through trying to get them to keep bows and ponytails in, it was impossible. I was able to snap a few quick shots before he remembered he was a boy and that he should be fighting my desperate need for a little girl. Chad would certainly be pleased with him!

 he still has no idea it's even in there...

after taking it out, the movie "There's Something About Mary" comes to mind!

Just clearing off my phone, I use it a ton to take pics of things that I know the boys will stop doing if I go grab my camera. 

The future Mr. Donald Trump (he still hasn't had a haircut since this pic). Carter likes to brush and dry his after after I do mine, but he hasn't quite learned how to put anti-frizz product in yet.

 the boys got new pets to keep in their rooms (their reward for doing so well during swim lessons) My mom asked if Carter had eaten the fish yet, haha, I wouldn't be surprised!

 Carter likes to do a little rearranging our seating after dinner time. This boy is gonna be a linebacker, he pushes every chair by himself.

Swim Lessons

We started Andrew back in swim lessons this summer a our pool with Mr. Stan. Even though he knows how to swim now, I just want him to improve and learn new skills. Carter was watching the first lesson and literally tried to swim out to Mr. Stan so he could get a lesson too! So, now they are both doing lessons and we are spending tons of time at the pool..... i love summer!

Park with Friends

We met up with some friends and their sweet kiddos at the park last week. Carter and Samuel became big buddies while Andrew preferred keeping to himself. I enjoyed some time talking with my friends and   letting my boys wear themselves out before nap time!

Sugar Sweet

 Carter was helping me cook dinner and started inching his hand closer and closer to the bag of sugar. He didn't know what it was so I told him it was okay to try some, and imagine his surprise when he pulled his little fingers out and tasted pure grain sugar!!!
