Carty Carts

I think my baby is just too goofy for the name, Carter. He looks much more like a Carty or Cart!

poor guy has been SO sick, way worse than when he had RSV. He's had up to 105 temp, lost several pounds and hasn't been anything like himself. Last week was pretty awful but things are looking up now!

Coolidge with my boys

We took the boys to Coolidge one night last week for a dinnertime picnic, in which, Chad and I were the only ones who would actually eat! Carter discovered the joy of carbonated beverages -Sprite and Andrew was only interested in the sno cone stand. We had so much fun watching them run around and play ball that we ended up staying past bedtime and even meeting up with our favorite babysitter, Leanne there!

School Days and Water Play

Andrew had his first day as a Joyful Giraffe last week and he couldn't have been more excited to run into his new classroom! He loved seeing all of his friends from last year and meeting his new teachers. He said it was great getting to run around and be loud without waking up his baby!

I promise he was excited, this fake smile he does is ridiculous

Carty and I had fun playing at home while big brother was at school

No Walk in the Park

Last week, my friend Amanda and I took our boys to Riverview park one morning while it was still cool out. Andrew wanted to run around the whole park, Dru wanted to swing and Carter wanted to climb up the slides, so needless to say, she and I didn't get much time to hang out! We decided to go to lunch afterwards at a nearby market-bakery that was an absolute nightmare. Not only were the kids hungry, tired and restless but there was only one high chair and Carter fell, resulting in his tooth going through his bottom lip. So much for trying to be a good mommy and having a nice trip to the park!

I love Carter's face

Carty's war face

yeah, that's Carter under the tire swing
busted lip and exhausted
pretending to be asleep too! That would be cookie all over his mouth

Sugar and Spice

One of my best friends from when I was younger, came to spend the day with us Monday. We haven't seen each other in about a year and I had never met his 2 year old daughter, so we were excited to watch our kids play together. We took them to the Aquarium and afterwards they played in the water outside. Everyone got along pretty well, thankfully this girl can hold her own against my wild boys! She and Andrew became big buddies but Carter didn't warm up quite as easily, he's not sure about competition in the house (but a little girl would fit in just perfectly, I think!)

Hiding from Carter

how cute is she?!?!

Stray Baby

We ended up with a stray dog one night last week (long story), so my sweet neighbor brought over a leash for us to borrow. We never needed it for the dog (I lost it within a few hours-long story) but it has certainly come in handy for Carter! Andrew thinks it great that he can hook the leash onto Carter's belt loop and pull him around, Carter isn't too excited! I must admit, it has provided some great entertainment and kep them busy so I can cook dinner.

My Favorite Boys

This whole weekend was spent with my 3 favorite boys! We had so much fun doing things together as a family and it was so great to see my boys playing in the fountains together at Coolidge Park. Carter was too young to enjoy it last year, but jumped right in this time!

Just chillin' at the park
the swagger

Andrew still isn't a huge fan of water getting on his face and hair

climbing right up there with the big kids

what's a trip to the park without a Sonic slushy to finish off the day!
