St. Elmo Playground

The boys and I haven't been to the St. Elmo playground in forever... actually, I don't know if I've ever taken Carter there. It was kind of shady one of the last times so I've avoided it, but Andrew has never stopped asking to go. They both had so much fun together and did "cool tricks" the entire time!

As I was editing the pictures and saw this one of Andrew on the top of the slide, my mind totally flashed back to the memory if him in the same spot when he was Carters age.  When I found the picture it almost made me cry.... seriously, who gave this kid permission to grow up so fast :-(

I almost peed my pants when I saw this guy creepin in my picture. I never saw him when we were there but am now reminded why we don't go to this playground anymore.

Incline

A few weekends ago, Chad was on call so I took the boys to the Incline Railway. It's right by our house and my mom has been begging me to take them (let her take them) for years. The idea of being stuck in a tram with my kids if they got scared on the way up just didn't sound fun to me so I've always said no. They both seem old enough now and were pretty fearless at Lake Winnie so I thought, why not? They both loved it and I was the one who was scared going up! We hung out at the top, ate giant chocolate and sprinkle covered marshmallows, oreo fudge, drank slushies and pretended to be one of the tourists! My mom is totally going with us next time!

Life

We see a lot of costume changes around here
Even when we babysit little girls, they sometimes end up as superheroes!

We've loved taking the boys to the Lookouts games this summer. Every time I get off the 4th street exit, Carter yells "Lookouts!" Hot dogs, ice cream, beer and baseball, what more could you ask for?

A little evening trip to the Coolidge fountains with friends, then to Good Dog for a picnic dinner in the park!

My Monkeys

A few weeks ago I took my 2 little monkeys to the zoo. It was a cloudy cool day and we got there right when they opened so it was empty. The boys just had fun running around and climbing on everything.

You can now ride a camel and the girl one just happens to be named "Sydney" which is a certain 5 year olds little girlfriends name! He kept saying he wanted to ride "Sydney" which just didn't sit very well with me!
